Elizabeth Gasparrini Obituary

Elizabeth Rose Gasparrini of Trumbull, wife, mother, grandma, and great-grandma, or “Bema” as she was lovingly called by all, passed peacefully surrounded by her closest loved ones, on February 16, 2026.

Betty was born in Bridgeport, on November 18, 1935 to Joseph and Mary Cervenansky. She attended school in Bridgeport, where she started her career and ultimately met the love of her life, Pat Gasparrini, his “Betsy”. They married in 1963 and went on to build a beautiful and exciting life together, working, traveling and raising their family.

Betty was the backbone and driving force for her sons to grow the successful family business she and Pat started together. She made sure to instill her passion and dedication for hard work, to all her grandchildren, becoming a huge part of all their individual successes today.

Spending time with friends and family was Betty’s ultimate joy in life. While she loved to travel, sitting at the kitchen table with friends and family brought just as much, if not more joy to her.

Anyone who walked through her front door always felt right at home. She was always looking for “the latest hot gossip”, and you always knew you would leave with a sweet treat, newspaper clipping, church bulletin, or a coupon.

Betty, our “Bema” had a love for life that was truly infectious. She lived life to the fullest, and cut no corners, because “What is life without bread, butter and a good Manhattan”.

She was a dedicated parishioner of St. Theresa Church in Trumbull and took part in various women's organizations to support the church.

She is survived by her three sons and their families, Joseph and Michelle Gasparrini, Thomas and Laurie Gasparrini and Karl and Pamela Gasparrini. Grandchildren, Joseph and John Gasparrini, Gina Jacobson and husband Karl Jacobson, Mary Hamilton and husband Brendan Hamilton, Michael and Patrick Gasparrini, and Kyle and Sarah Gasparrini. Great Grandchildren, Jack, Claire, and Emma. She is also survived by her sisters, Frances Bushinsky, and Dorthy Friedland. She is predeceased, by her late husband, Pat Gasparrini, and her sister Mary Kane.

Relatives and friends can greet the family for a walk thru visitation with calling hours on Friday, February 20th, from 4pm – 7pm, at Cyril F Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull.
